Experian enters market research with Canvasse

LONDON - Experian has launched Canvasse Opinion, a new consumer research service, designed to take on the likes of NOP, YouGov and Mori.

The new service aims to take advantage of Experian's 54m consumer data records to target the most appropriate segments of the population, using a mixture of online, telephone and postal data collection.

Each survey is project-managed by a Canvasse Opinion expert and clients can receive consultancy, analysis and reporting and marketing and PR services.

Canvasse Opinion pre-screens individuals against its consumer and lifestyle database, removing individuals that fall outside the recommended panel. The Mosaic and Financial Strategy Segments tools group the panel into the socio-demographic and geographic profiles most suited to the client's chosen area of research, ensuring that the respondents selected are aligned with the client's target audience.

In addition, Canvasse Opinion aims to improve response rates by using modelling tool Touchpoints, which identifies consumer contact preferences such as telephone and email.

Paul Kavanagh, commercial manager for Canvasse Opinion, said: "Canvasse Opinion opens the door to organisations that want quick, affordable and a highly accurate insight into the UK public's views. Canvasse Opinion sets the standard for consumer research, providing up-to-date information from the people that count most -- the public."
