The event takes place on 14 August at Manchester Central with the football club hoping to build on the success of last year’s event, which saw a live audience of Blues fans treated to a night of comedy from comedian and lifelong supporter Jason Manford alongside music from Miles Kane.
City have once again enlisted the support Jason Manford, who will host and compere the evening. The name of the music act headlining City Live is still under wraps, but will be announced in the coming weeks along with other entertainment on the night.
The star-studded bash, when City’s annual end-of-season awards are dished out, is one of the highlights of the Club’s calendar. Gongs up for grabs include the Etihad Player of the Year and Moment of the Season.
It will also be the first chance for fans to get up-close and personal with their heroes when new Club signings will be presented to the City faithful.
Inspired by shows such as the MTV Music Awards, City Live will showcase what’s in store for the 2014/15 season, both on and off the pitch, whilst connecting local and global fans.
Sergio Aguero, Manchester City and Argentinian World Cup striker, said: "It’s the first time you really get to see the fans again before the season starts, and the reception the players received last year was simply incredible.
"This time round, we have the Barclays Premier League and Capital One trophies which the fans helped us win, so no doubt it will be another night to remember."
