Derek odds-on favourite to get the boot from Big Brother

LONDON - Tory speechwriter Derek, marketing student Sam and Italian teacher Roberto all face eviction from the 'Big Brother' house on Friday, with Derek 4/6 favourite to get the boot.

Roberto is least likely to get the chop with odds of 7/1, while self-confessed sex addict Sam, who has received the most nominations since the show began, has been given odds of 6/4.

Warren Lush, spokesman for Ladbrokes, said: "It looks like it will be third time lucky for Sam -- she's been a goner in the eyes of the bookies for two weeks but she keeps bouncing back."

The news comes as hairdresser Craig, Roberto and Derek were banned from making nominations this week because they broke 'Big Brother' rules and discussed nominations.

To punish them, Big Brother gathered the housemates in the living room where they were shown footage of Derek, Roberto and Craig talking about promotions girl Saskia.

Derek said: "I've now cottoned on to what their [Saskia and Maxwell] strategy is. She is the silent assassin, she orchestrates it. They think they're invincible."

Craig and Roberto were then shown agreeing.

While Saskia took the news quite well, telling everyone "Don't worry, I'm cool as a cucumber", Maxwell turned on Craig, Derek and Roberto, calling them "fucking wankers".

The person to take the news worst, however, was camp crimper Craig who spent most of the day sulking in the bedroom.

Maxwell's consistent pranks on the house appear to be paying off as the 23-year-old remains 3/1 favourite to win, followed closely by Zimbabwean nurse Makosi on 4/1 and Turkish belly dancer Kemal on 5/1.

Rapper Science is the only housemate to have his odds of winning cut this week from 8/1 to 6/1, sharing fourth place with Saskia to win the £100,000 prize money.
