Mailtrack to handle marketing and sponsorship for Fantasy Sport

LONDON - Mailtrack has been appointed by Fantasy Sport, a developer of online fantasy football-style games, to sell direct marketing opportunities around its games.

The games are based around sporting events including golf's European Tour 2005, and the football and World Rally Championship seasons. Players compete by selecting the best performing teams or sportsmen.

Fantasy Sport has engaged Mailtrack to find sponsors for its games. Last year, Seat sponsored Fantasy World Rally Championship and as part of the deal was supplied a profiled player database. Marketing emails achieved a click-through rate of 35% and 8% of the database was converted into qualified sales leads.

Mailtrack will also be responsible for creative digital campaigns to acquire and retain players, as well as securing media partners and designing the website for each game.

Komal Helyer, sales and marketing manager for Mailtrack Media, said: "Fantasy Sport games provide brands with an exciting opportunity to target true sports fans. Players return frequently for updates, 95% regularly, allowing brands to build relationships and introduce and sell products over the course of a whole season."
