MailOnline keeps the top spot in July ABCes

LONDON - The MailOnline stretched its lead among the UK's national newspaper websites in July with less than a 1% month-on-month jump in unique users, as most of its competitors recorded a fall in traffic, according to the latest ABCe figures.

MailOnline, which includes the and sites, attracted 29.87m unique users, up 0.49% from June. Its UK users also increased, rising from 8.3m in June to 8.7m in July.

's site remained in the second spot with 26.99m unique users, despite falling by 9.2% month on month. Its UK users also decreased, falling from 10.2m to 9.93m in July.

also recorded a fall in unique users, dropping 7.83% to 26.48m, while its UK users fell from 9.19m to 8.7m.

maintained the fourth spot, suffering a minor decline of 0.97% month on month to 25.09m unique users. Its UK users actually increased from 8.7m to 9.05m.

continues to decline, falling 13.77% in June to hit 18.87m unique users. Its UK users fell from 7.67m to 7.25m.

Mirror Group, spanning , and , was the only UK national newspaper website other than the MailOnline to post a month-on-month increase in traffic. Its unique users rose by 5.45% to hit 10.41m.

Its UK users increased slightly to hit 5m.

suffered a massive fall, declining 12.52% to 8.39m unique users, while its UK users also fell from 3.78m to 3.68m.
