Magic signs former Capital DJ Foxy for breakfast slot

LONDON - London's Magic FM is putting Foxy back on air and has given him the breakfast slot from next Monday, moving Graham Dene to its drivetime slot.

A 20-year veteran of radio, Neil Fox, as Magic may prefer to call him, was the voice of the Pepsi Chart for 10 years.

In March, he left Capital 95.8FM when it brought in new blood in the form of Richard Bacon to present the drivetime show.

He returns to do battle with breakfast DJs Johnny Vaughan, Jamie Theakston, Terry Wogan and Chris Moyles.

He spent 18 years at Capital where he was known both as Dr Fox and then Foxy, and his last eight years were spent on Capital's drivetime show.

The appointment is part of a fresh strategy by new Magic managing director Andria Vidler, who formerly held the same role at Capital, aimed at securing higher profile presenters and guests for the station.
