Stefano Gabbanna, the label’s co-founder, confirmed on Twitter that recently divorced Madonna has re-signed her contract.

He tweeted that he was on the set of D&G's new ad campaign, which is being shot in the streets of New York, reportedly by photographer Steven Klein.

Gabbanna tweeted: "The shooting is going very well!!!…She’s beautiful…Love this!!!"

The designer added that there was a lot of paparazzi during the shooting, and said: "Madonna… She’s always the best!!!!"

This will be 50-year-old Madonna’s second D&G campaign. The previous campaign, for the brand’s spring/summer 2010 collection, was shot by Steven Klein and inspired by Italian Neorealism cinema.

It featured Madonna washing dishes and preparing food at a dining room table.

The star is designing a collection of sunglasses for the brand, out later this year.

Madonna has also been the face of Louis Vuitton and starred in the brand’s spring/summer campaign last year, which was shot by photographer Steven Meisel.
