Opening on 15 July, Sherlock Holmes: The Experience will be a permanent feature at the venue.
It will be staged in the basement of the Marylebone attraction and feature multi-textured theatrical sets, illusions, actors and sound effects.
Visitors will be transported back to some of the most famous locations from the stories, including the detective’s drawing room, lamp lit Victorian streets and dark moors. Entry is included within the standard ticket price.
A limited-run evening experience will complement the experience in a separately ticketed show: The Game’s Foot, kicking-off on 14 July.
Here, visitors will have access to a case which they are invited to solve at their own pace and create their own trails and conclusions, from a series of individual clues. One of three different cases will feature on rotation six days a week, with the one-hour experience ending at a themed bar.
Edward Fuller, general manager of Madame Tussauds, said: "Sherlock Holmes: The Experience, will be the first in Madame Tussauds’ history to tap in to the increasing demand from the public for immersive theatrical adventures – a genre we believe Madame Tussaud herself would have enthusiastically embraced."
Madame Tussauds is also set to open an interactive Warcraft experience in May.
