Fans of the popular fantasy game will be able to meet characters and view sets from the universe ahead of its upcoming cinematic release, Warcraft.

Those who enter the space must pledge their allegiance to one of two camps: the Horde or the Alliance.

Next, visitors will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with their leaders, Lothar the human and Durotan the orc, the film’s main characters. Garona, Warcraft's half-orc assassin, will feature exclusively in Madame Tussauds Berlin.

All the models – aside from Garona – have been created at the Madame Tussauds studios in west London, while their costumes and weaponry have been made at a New Zealand-based special effects workshop known as Weta.

According to Madame Tussauds, there will also be a VR element at the experience, though details are still under wraps.

The pop-up experience will open in London on 24 May before touring Madame Tussauds attractions in cities such as New York and Hong Kong.

Visitors can pre-book tickets online and they start from £23.79 each. Warcraft will be released in UK cinemas on 3 June.

Kieran Lancini, global head of media relations, Madame Tussauds, said: "Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft is unparalleled as an entertainment phenomenon, attracting some of the world’s most passionate and dedicated fans, and we are delighted to be part of its epic journey to the big screen."

Emily Castel, chief marketing officer Legendary Pictures, added: "Seeing the courageous heroes of the film immortalised through the magic of Madame Tussauds offers audiences a unique opportunity finally to come face to face with these iconic characters.

"Legendary’s focus is on taking beloved properties and delivering an authentic experience for the fans, and we are thrilled that this partnership has enabled us to do that in such grand style."

Back in February, Madame Tussauds  that offered visitors the chance to go behind-the-scenes at London Fashion Week.
