Some anti-capitalist protesters have vowed to camp until Christmas in the cathedral grounds, which form part of the Lord Mayor's Show route.
The annual parade sees the new Mayor of London travel by state coach from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice, stopping at St Paul's to receive a blessing from the dean on the cathedral steps. The show was attended by 6,500 people last year.
A spokesman for the City of London told Event: "There are no changes from our end, so it’s going to be exactly as the same as planned. You can rest assured that it will be as close as we can possibly get it to the normal plan."
"Obviously we’ll be realistic, but we’re pushing ahead with it," he added.
St Paul’s told Event that it is trying to relocate the one event planned at the cathedral this week, and will look at relocating others for the rest of the year - some 20 are planned.
It said: "We will be working with our partners in the City of London and with Unique Venues of London to provide alternative solutions if necessary."
