The launch of London Syon Park a Waldorf Astoria Hotel was due to take place in November, but owners have put the date back to ‘early 2011’ due to the project’s complexity.

When it opens the hotel, located within the Syon Park estate, will be the first new-build Waldorf Astoria property outside of the US.

It will boast 1,000sqm of event facilities including 450-seater ballroom and a rooftop lounge for 64 standing.

General manager Dale MacPhee told Event: "The team are working tirelessly to ensure that the first guests to visit London Syon Park A Waldorf Astoria hotel have the very best experience from this superb addition to Hilton Worldwide's luxury portfolio.

"It is not unusual for there to be a delay with a new hotel development as it is a complex project, particularly with the many detailed finishing touches - from the landscaped gardens to the indulgent spa - all of which are being meticulously managed, as they work toward the launch of London's finest contemporary country retreat," he added.
