Both Holmes and Ellwood have been appointed to the Convention Bureau team and will work on attracting and winning new business events from UK and European markets in London.
The pair previously worked at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, where they focused on creating the London Eastside brand that aimed to attract meeting and event planners to the area.
Most recently, Holmes worked with the Canadian Olympic Committee as London Logistics 2012 co-ordinator during last year's Games.
Tracy Halliwell, director of business tourism and major events, said: "Both Pat and Rob have played a crucial role in London’s meetings and events industry to date, and the team at London & Partners have demonstrably benefited from working together with these key industry figures in recent years."
