LinkedIn session on web 2.0 at Internet World

LONDON - Kevin Eyres, MD Europe at LinkedIn, will speak on how marketers and users navigate web 2.0 from a professional network perspective at Internet World today.

Another of today's seminar highlights is the Chinwag Live session on measuring social media (15.30-16.30), with a panel including Nielsen Online and Last.fm.

Other keynote speakers come from companies such as ITV, MySpace, Nokia, teen virtual world Habbo, BBC Worldwide and Google.

Exhibitors at the show cover the spectrum of digital marketing services, from email to e-commerce specialists, affiliate marketing and web hosting, usability, behavioural targeting and mobile providers. Redeye, Right Media, Stickyeyes, TAMBA Internet, Bazaarvoice, User Vision, ValueClick, NetBenefit and Webcredible are among those exhibiting.

Internet World is the UK's major digital business event - a digital marketing forum that covers all the key issues relating to online strategy. A majority (89 per cent) of attendees are involved in purchasing, with 20 per cent of those from companies with over 1000 employees.

Although primarily a UK event, an increased number of worldwide exhibitors and delegates will be attending this year.

"With over 300 exhibitors and some of the best speakers we've ever had, this year's event maintains our incredible progress. By remaining focused on what is important to our industry our appeal will only increase," said James Drake-Brockman, event director of Internet World.

"We have continued to adapt our approach to the event and evolved where the market has. We are taking advantage of all multimedia opportunities, through our website, blog and chart-topping viral game."

Internet World 2008 runs from 29 April - 1 May at Earls Court, and expects 14,000 attendees over the three-day period.
