The global online research company has doubled the size of its offices in Wimbledon to accommodate a 55% increase in staff members in the past year.
The Wimbledon office now employs 45 members of staff with the number set to rise throughout 2005.
The expansion is due to increased demand for online research and so the company can maintain the highest levels of service to new and existing to clients across Europe.
Andrew Cayton, senior vice-president for European business development, said: "The office expansion supplies us with essential flexibility for Lightspeed Research's ongoing growth and development in Europe."
The expansion comes as Lightspeed Research announced it was launching a Consumer Panel website in Italy with initial access to 64,000 households, rising to 200,000 by the end of 2005.
The company already has panels in the US, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia and is planning to introduce more panels in 2005, although details are being kept firmly under wraps.
Lightspeed Research currently provides online access to almost 16m household members across 25 countries in Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific through its proprietry panels and accredited panel partners.
