
It will commence its appointment as sole caterer to the Worshipful Company of Butchers in May, taking over from Chester Boyd, which has held the contract for more than thirty years.
The deal will see Life’s Kitchen take full responsibility for the marketing of the venue, a role that it fulfils in several of its contracted venues.
Managing director of Life’s Kitchen, Nicholas Levens said he was thrilled by the win. "It is the perfect addition to our venue portfolio in terms of size and location and we are truly honoured to be looking after both the Butchers’ Company and its corporate clients."
The Butchers’ Hall is located in Smithfield and has seven function rooms that can cater for up to 250. The present Hall in Bartholomew Close was rebuilt in 1960 and refurbished in 1996. It has occupied the same site since it was acquired in 1884. The Butchers’ Company can trace its roots back to 975 AD.
Life’s Kitchen is a bespoke contract caterer operating predominantly within the City of London. As well as Butchers’ Hall, it is the exclusive operator at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, Painters’ Hall, Wax Chandlers’ Hall and Pewterers’ Hall. It is also a listed caterer at Guildhall and Stationers’ Hall.
