Leadership of the creative department is being handed to Tori Winn, executive creative director, and Pavel Fernandez, creative director.

Thomas joined the M&C Saatchi-owned shop from SapientNitro where he was an executive creative director. He replaced Nicky Bullard, who left to become chairman of MRM Meteorite. Thomas hired Winn later in 2017 from  digital agency Precedent, where she was global creative director. He has not got a job to go to.

Thomas said: "My time at Lida has been exciting, I’ve worked with some great people producing some terrific work together, but now I’d like my creative path to go in a new direction. It makes sense to start the process of appointing my successor now so that Lida can go into 2018 with a renewed sense of purpose."

Victoria Fox, the chief executive of Lida, added: "Tom has made a great impact on the agency in his 18 months here and for that we are really grateful. We are sad to see him go, but we are also grateful for his honesty and Tom will help handover carefully to the right leadership team."
