In his new role, Thomas will be in charge of Lida’s creative product in the UK, including work for clients such as Boots, Comparethemarket.com, Ikea, NatWest and O2. As Lida expands internationally, Thomas’ responsibilities could grow accordingly.

He will report to Victoria Fox, the Lida chief executive.

Thomas was promoted to executive creative director at SapientNitro in October 2014 and looked after the agency’s digital engagement and multichannel business in London, working on brands such as Harley-Davidson, Sky and TUI Group.

Before joining SapientNitro as a creative director, Thomas had the same role at Brand Advocate, an agency he co-founded in 2008. Before that, he was an integrated creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi in London and Asia-Pacific.

Fox said: "Trefor’s passion and drive, coupled with his multiplatform and award-winning expertise, made him the perfect person to strengthen the creative agenda across all Lida clients.

"I am excited for the team and for our fantastic clients who will benefit from Trefor’s experience and track record."

Bullard left Lida to join MRM Meteorite as its chairman and chief creative officer last month.
