Langmead, who took up the editor's chair yesterday, has tapped his former employer News International for Emma Moore, beauty director at the Sunday Times Style magazine for the last six years, to become beauty and grooming director. Moore's first task will be to launch a unisex beauty and grooming section.
Langmead worked with Moore when he was editor of Style from 1995 until 2000, when he took up his last job as lifestyle features editor at the Evening Standard.
Langmead said: "Not only is beauty and grooming an obvious addition to the remit of the magazine, but Wallpaper will be the first publication to feature beauty pages for both men and women."
The second appointment is Suzanne Trocme, currently a regular contributor to the New York Times and Architectural Digest in the US, France and Italy. She is also the author of a number of interior decorating and design books such as 'Retro Home' and 'Fabric'.
"Likewise, Suzanne's appointment highlights Wallpaper's continued commitment to providing readers with the most exciting developments within architecture and design," Langmead said.
Last week, Langmead announced the appointment of Tony Chambers, currently art director of British GQ, as creative director of Wallpaper. Chambers joins IPC in December.
