The screening series began yesterday (23 June) and will run until the tournament’s close on 6 July, from 12pm-10pm daily. Screenings will take place in specially customised retro caravans, and guests will be able to relax on giant outdoor cushions and deckchairs.
Two new locations have been added to the venue line-up from last year – the roof terrace at One New Change in the City and Thomas More Square in Wapping. At the former, rooftop bar Madison will provide a bespoke Great British Summer menu, while a pop-up Tequila Rose sampling bar will appear at the venue on 3-6 July.
Skincare brand Dermalogica will set up an SPF station at the City venue where staff will hand out free care packs and provide skin consultations and sun-safety tips, while Thomas More Square will feature a pop-up barbeque and bar from The Cape Bar.
Alongside the two new screening venues, tennis matches will also been shown at Cardinal Place in Victoria, which features York & Albany’s pop-up gin and tonic bar, and New Street Square, in Holburn, where spectators will be able to sip on drinks from Corney & Barrow’s pop-up pub.
To celebrate the events, Land Securities commissioned a series of interactive 3D pavement art displays created by British artist Joe Hill, which are on display at Cardinal Place.
