
The Coronation Street set was recently relocated to Media City, Trafford, leaving behind the old set at the Quay Street Studios with a history and heritage dating back to the 1950s.
With the new studios fully operational and the old set still standing, ITV and Continuum Leading Attractions have turmed the former set into an attraction, Coronation Street The Street, which .
The tour gives people an opportunity to walk along the cobbles of one of the nation’s most famous streets.
Kudos won the contract having demonstrated a complete understanding of the Coronation Street brand, and proposing a comprehensive, tailored level of creativity in the delivery of the customer experience at Coronation Street, which included coffee shops and street food concepts.
Jon Pryce, managing director of Kudos, said: "This is an amazing venue with lots of history and it’s great to be part of the experience. Our experience of managing cafes and running the crew-catering facilities at Media City gives us a unique combination of understanding consumer demands as well as the insights to how film crews operate around a production studio. This will allow us to offer visitors on the tour a very unique and true reflection of what life was like on the set."
