The forest will be open for five weeks at Dalston’s Bootstrap Company from 2 July until 3 August, and will be free to enter for those aged 18 years old and over.

The concept will consist of a bespoke woodland inspired by Swedish pine forests in which attendees will be able to watch a programme of live music, including Scandinavian acts Francobollo, MØ, Karin Park and Bernhoft, as well as UK festival artists New Young Pony Club and Lucy Rose.

A number of London’s DJs and club nights, including Sweden’s Project Fresh Socks Hip Hop Karaoke and Propagandato, will also be in attendance to create a party atmosphere.

The Kopparberg Urban Forest will be offering food from three of east London’s street food eateries, including Brick Lane’s Swedish bar and kitchen Fika. The brand will also be serving its premium fruit ciders alongside a rarely seen selection of Kopparberg brewery beers and a small cocktail bar.

Graffiti from London’s local street artists will be showcased for the duration of the Kopparberg Urban Forest’s residency, with other artists asked to contribute their own thoughts and stories inspired by the forest.

Throughout the event Kopparberg will be working closely with The Bootstrap Company, a London-based charity and venue that supports local creatives and social microenterprises. In addition, £1 from the sale of each Dalston Thing cocktail will be donated directly to local charity Dalston Bridge.

At the end of the project, trees and greenery from The Kopparberg Urban Forest will be given to The Bootstrap Company for distribution throughout the charity’s projects.
