Kerrang! to get behind rockers Motley Crue's June tour

LONDON - Motley Crue's UK tour next June will be promoted by Emap's Kerrang! across its magazine, TV channel, radio station and website this month, with Emap's ticket sales operation Aloud.com set to benefit.

The now middle-aged metal megastars, whose 53-year-old guitarist Mick Mars had a hip replacement last month, have reformed to undertake their first tour since 1997's Generation Swine tour.

Kerrang!'s promotional activity has started and will continue for the whole month, with tickets to go on sale from December 7. Motley Crue merchandise will be given away in competitions and the band will host their own radio show from the Kerrang! 105.2 studios in the West Midlands.

Emap Performance operates its own ticketing service Aloud.com, which powers dedicated online ticket shops for FHM, Kerrang, Q, Mojo, Kiss, and Emap's Big City radio stations.

GiGi Dryer, head of ticketing and co-promotions at Emap Performance, said: "The Kerrang! platform has transformed the promotion of live events in this sector. Our unique co-promotion offering of cross-media, ticket-selling capabilities and market position have enabled a host of events to sell out in record time."

Kerrang!'s radio network has grown its reach to more than 1m listeners after the debut of the West Midlands station, and will be the format Emap submits when applying for the forthcoming Manchester FM licence.
