Kellogg's partners with Uri Geller for spoon-bending experience

Cereal brand Kellogg's is celebrating its new partnership with Uri Geller by hosting a spoon-bending masterclass with the illusionist tomorrow (24 January).

Hosted at Westfield London, shoppers will be able to enjoy a Kellogg’s breakfast as Geller shares his spoon-bending secrets. Guests will get the chance to try the magic art for themselves and everyone who successfully bends their utensil will receive a special Kellogg’s replacement.

The event, which has been devised by agency Taylor Herring PR, will also showcase the Throne of Spoons – a spoof of Game of Thrones’ iron throne. The public will get the chance to have their photo taken with Geller in the chair, which has been specially created from more than 2,000 spoons.

The campaign also features an on-pack promotion, whereby cereal fans can receive a free personalised spoon by picking up three packs of Kellogg’s and entering a code online to access a digital workshop. The brand aims to trend the initiative socially through the hashtag #SpoonSelfie.

Geller said: "I just couldn’t say no when I was asked by Kellogg’s to be involved in the project. I can’t wait to see everyone at our breakfast event in January with their personalised spoons."
