Jordan and Johnny emerge as stars of I'm a Celebrity

LONDON - Jordan has managed to dominate the first night's coverage of 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here', by wearing a skimpy thong and bra while taking a swim, making her the new joint favourite to win.

However she failed to completely reveal her famous surgically enhanced 34FF assets, at one point reminding herself out loud that she was not supposed to strip. Bookmakers have offered odds of 4-9 that she will be the first to go topless during the two-week reality TV show being screened on ITV.

The opening episode of the show pulled in 10.9m viewers last night, just under half the TV audience.

The model saw her odds slashed from 7/1 fourth favourite to 3/1. Neil Ruddock is also running at 3/1.

Warren Lush a Ladbrokes spokesman, said: "Punters can't get enough of Jordan, they are piling in to back her. At this rate she could be a strong favourite to win within days."

Jordan proved herself courageous by successfully completing the first "bush tucker" trial along with Neil "Razor" Ruddock, who appeared not to live up to his football hardman reputation, admitting that if he had been doing the task alone the group would not have won any food. The pair had to wear perspex helmets while bugs, spiders, an eel and a python were poured in.

Viewers have voted for ex-Sex Pistols singer John Lydon to undertake the next trial. They will now be treated to the sight of Lydon entering a pen filled with ostriches to win meals for the other contestants.

Lydon's involvement in the show was questioned right up until the celebrities entered their jungle camp, but the ex-punk appeared to be revelling in his bush surroundings. Viewers were spared an appearance by former children's TV presenter Timmy Mallet -- he was lined up to replace Lydon, who was reported as being surly and uncooperative, or exactly as viewers would expect him to be.

At one point Lydon boasted that he was "at one with nature", prompting another of the celebrities, former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond, to claim that the pair had a common bond.

Other highlights of the first day included Kerry McFadden, a former Atomic Kitten, showing her terror of rats, spiders and snakes; and Bond, who is the first camp leader, continuously wearing make-up.

Mallet could still make an appearance should one of the stars drop out. Other competitors include convicted fraudster Lord Brocket, athlete Diane Modahl, George Best's estranged wife Alex, and former popstar Peter Andre.

The fulls odds are: Neil Ruddock and Jordan at 3/1; John Lydon 4/1; Lord Brocket 8/1; Alex Best and Kerry McFadden 10/1; Mike Read 12/1; Peter Andre 12/1; Jenny Bond 20/1; Diane Modahl 25/1.
