Prescott was Tony Blair’s right-hand man from 1997-2007 and now sits in the House of Lords. At Confex he will speak on ‘Behind the scenes in government’, drawing on his experience as Britain’s longest-serving deputy prime minister.

Confex organiser UBM is working with agency Performing Artistes to present influential speakers at the show, taking place at Excel London from 19-21 March.

Broadcaster Janet Street Porter will headline the seminar programme on 20 March, speaking about her career to date in a session called ‘The World According to...’

On the show's final day, Jaguar’s sponsorship and events strategy will be revealed in a keynote from Geoff Cousins, former global director for sponsorship and brand partners at Land Rover.

James Samuel, event director of Confex, said: "It’s important that International Confex showcases the very best speakers and presenters that are available to event organisers. We work closely with Performing Artistes to bring a diverse and exciting line-up to the show and I’m very much looking forward to hearing all three of them."
