Reporting to recently appointed managing director Julie France, Sullivan will head the team responsible for 13 UK air and rail concessions, including the ¤730m, 10-year BAA contract and the launch of digital sites at Heathrow's Terminal 5.
Sullivan, who spent four years in JCDecaux Airport's sales team from 2000, latterly as head of sales, joins from Xtreme Information, where he had been new business development director in charge of new media since January. Prior to that, he spent some time at international airport and outdoor media agency Mediakeys (Paris), where he was responsible for securing new business across Europe and the US.
From 1995 until 2000, he worked in sales at News International at The Sun and the News of the World.
France said Sullivan's "proven strategic abilities, experience in the domestic and international media markets and his knowledge of the airport industry" would strengthen the company's sales operation as it undergoes a "transformation", spearheaded by the launch of its Terminal 5 advertising offering.
Former radio expert Quartly left JCDecaux Airport without a job to go to just 10 months after joining from UTV Radio.
