It is a big improvement on the company's earnings for the same quarter last year, ending September 30. During that period, Ebitda was a loss of $16.1m (£11.3m).
Third-quarter revenues were $18.1m (£12.7m), up 38% on revenues for the same period last year, and the results exceeded the company's forecasts for the quarter.
In a statement, iVillage said that it had signed 23 new advertisers in the quarter and 16 new brands from existing advertisers -- despite the overall downturn in advertising. New clients included Clairol, Pfizer and Weight Watchers.
iVillage owns iVillage.com, Women.com, the Business Women's Network, Lamaze Publishing, the Newborn Channel, iVillage Solutions and Astrology.com.
Earlier this year, it faced delisting on the Nasdaq after its shares fell below $1 (71p). Yesterday, its shares were trading up 4%, closing at $1.27 (89p).
