LONDON (Brand Republic) - Women鈥檚 online network iVillage said its losses have narrowed for the third quarter, but analysts expect more losses next quarter as advertising revenue dries up.
Losses for the quarter were $16.2m, or 55 cents a share, compared to $24.9m for the same quarter last year. This beat Wall Street estimates of 69 cents a share. Revenue grew to $20.2m, compared to $8.7m a year earlier.
However, iVillage said that it expects its revenue growth to be flat or down 10% in the next quarter, and analysts believe that the company will post greater losses of 59 cents a share. Chief executive Doug McCormick said this lower forecast 鈥渞eflects what is happening in the entire advertising market鈥.
