iVillage launches hunt for UK's best 'readers' husband'

LONDON - Women's website iVillage.co.uk has launched a campaign to find the UK's sexiest husbands and boyfriends, with 12 winners going on to be photographed for an online calendar next year.

Visitors to the are being urged to send in "sexy" pictures of their spouses along with an explanation of "why he is a great British bloke" as part of the campaign, which is being dubbed "readers' husbands" by the site.

Nominations will be made next month with the final 12 then selected by public vote.

The campaign follows on from a survey conducted by the site during the summer that found most women would choose their own partner ahead of an array of celebrity icons, such as Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Katie Brodie, iVillage.co.uk's marketing manager said: "Contrary to reports or rising divorce rates we hear stories of fantastic, happy marriages and long-term relationships."
