ITV1 tops ratings with 5.8 million for DCI Banks

ITV1 again beat BBC One's 'Spooks' at 9pm-10pm on Monday night as the second part of 'DCI Banks: Aftermath' scored 5.82 million viewers, according to unofficial overnight figures.

'Spooks', now in its ninth series, attracted 5.03 million viewers, which gave it a 20.2% share of the available TV audience to ITV1's 23.4%.

'DCI Banks: Aftermath', which stars Stephen Tompkinson in the title role, was a two-part series. Last Monday the first part brought in 5.6 million viewers.

Channel 4 managed the next highest audience for a commercial channel with 'Titanic: The Mission' bringing in 1.3 million viewers and taking a 5.2% share of viewing. Including its Channel 4+1 outing it was seen by 1.48 million people.

On Five, 'Rory and Paddy's Even Greater British Adventure' attracted an audience of 1.17 million and a share of 4.7%

BBC Two was the third most-watched terrestrial channel, garnering an 8.2% share after 2.04 million tuned in for 'Horizon: The Death of the Oceans?'.
