ITV updates family history site Genes Reunited

LONDON - Genes Reunited, ITV's genealogy site, has been revamped following last year's redesign of its sister site Friends Reunited.

The new site, designed by digital agency Airlock, now has contextual tips around the site to explain how people should research their family history. The new site also incorporates a mini-family tree on the homepage.

ITV aims to broaden the appeal of the site, which launched in 2003, to a wider audience. Video footage and photography help people picture the lives of their ancestors and allow Genes Reunited to share some of the best member success stories.

Members can also upload their own images and footage to the wider Genes Reunited community, recording and sharing their family story as it develops.
