The site offers a video guide educating parents on a new trend in baby communication, which is based on the natural gestures babies and young children use every day. The broadcaster says the site gives parents the opportunity to communicate with their baby before speech develops.

ITV plans to sell a range of sponsorship and display advertising opportunities around this new service, which is being promoted across itv.com, ITV Local, Friends Reunited and upcoming family websites.

The Babysign venture features a video dictionary of signs based on British Sign Language, and interviews with parents who are already using the easy communication technique with their children.

The new service will be launching at The Baby Show, Earls Court London, later this week.
