The results come from the association’s Global Business Survey, which was conducted during March across its 50 chapters in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australasia.
The aim of the survey was to highlight the overall level of business confidence in terms of projected agency and supplier sales growth and direct client spending on events.
Of those who completed the survey and said they expected growth, more than half (52%) forecasted more than 25% growth and over a quarter (26%) predicted a growth increase of 10% or more. Almost one fifth (18%) said growth would be more than 50%.
In terms of direct client spend 57% said they expected this to increase in 2014/15, while more than a third (36%) forecast it would remain the same.
Brian Acheson, ISES international president, said: "This survey shows that the event industry is continuing to recover, not just locally but globally, and that there is a very strong demand for event products and services across all sectors with both supplier sales and client spend increasing at a fast pace.
"Providing face to face communication and delivering live event experiences is what ISES people do best, and we look forward to assisting our members achieve even greater success as we continue to promote the value of this incredible industry."
