Ipsos claims that it grew at a faster pace than the overall growth in the research market, which was at 5%.
Ipsos said its organic growth reached 7.8% but currency exchange rates had a negative impact on growth. North American revenues dropped 1.5% in euro terms to €280.4m.
Growth in Europe was steady at 6%, producing revenues of €475.8m, but was strongest in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America.
The company expects that 2009 will see the research market showing its resilience to the financial crisis.
Ipsos shares have risen 8% since the results announcement to €17.86.
The group will reveal its full annual results on March 18.
