Iley joins from IPC Ignite!'s NME, where she was the music title's first woman publisher, just days after Andrew Sumner took the publishing director role permanently at Now.
Sumner, who had been acting publishing director since January, said of Iley's appointment: "This is a tremendous senior appointment for Now. Tammi is a highly skilled publisher who comes to IPC Connect with a wealth of experience that can only benefit the Now brand."
Iley, who has previously held publishing roles at other IPC Ignite! titles Uncut and Nuts, and joins Now on September 4, said: "Joining IPC Connect will be a challenging role and it's one I'm thrilled about. Working on NME was a dream job and it'll be a sad day to say goodbye to them but I'm geared up to taking on the opportunities offered by Now."
One of her key priorities will be to help turn around a sales dip. According to latest ABC figures for the six months ending December 2005, Now's circulation fell by 2.4% from 591,795 to 577,818.
While at NME, she oversaw a boost in sales, with latest ABCs for the same period showing an increase of 4.3% from 73,640 to 76,792.
Iley replaces Andrew Kirkland, who left the role in January to become group publishing director at Anglo-Australian magazine group ACP-NatMag. Since then Sumner has also been covering the publisher role.
At NME, Iley has been replaced by Emily Hutchings, who was previously associate publisher at Uncut. She takes up the role on August 4.
