IPC promotes Sumner to publisher role at Wallpaper

LONDON - IPC's design monthly Wallpaper has promoted associate publisher Neil Sumner to publisher with immediate effect.

Sumner joined the title in September 2004 after two years at Haymarket where he was publishing manager for its marketing titles. He previously worked at John Brown Publishing and Emap.

Fiona Dent, Wallpaper's publishing director, said: "Neil's talent and commitment made a major contribution to Wallpaper's highly successful tenth anniversary, expanding Wallpaper's international circulation and developing wallpaper.com to deliver record revenues and site traffic."

The magazine celebrated its 10th anniversary last September, but two months later its editor-in-chief Jeremy Langmead announced he is leaving to edit Esquire, owned by The National Magazine Company. IPC has not yet found a replacement for Langmead, who spent four years on Wallpaper.
