Sinclair moves down from Manchester to take on the role, part of a strategic development of the operation to increase sales of direct response inserts in core sectors such as finance and fashion retail.
Sinclair will continue to work closely with the regional team and their agencies, but her role is being expanded to include the existing national client base, as well as developing new client relationships.
IPC Innovator group advertisement director Martin Corke, who is also responsible for IPC Advertising's regional office, said: "The creation of this new role marks another major step forward for Innovator. As our name suggests, we have spent a great deal of time innovating within the insert marketplace and it's important that we focus on clients nationally, in order to best bring these opportunities to life."
IPC Innovator sells more than 1bn inserts each year across more than 80 IPC-owned magazines.
Corke added: "Deborah will add great focus to the task of ensuring that we are promoting inserts as a leading media mechanic within the wider media marketplace. Our increasingly national focus reflects the fact that our business continues to expand via clients and agencies based right across the UK."
The IPC Innovator team in Manchester will now be overseen by Katrina Hutchison, who was recently appointed regional sales director for IPC Advertising.
