The company was formed last month from the merger of IPC Media and parent company Time's Australian and New Zealand operations. Trumper, 41, will take the managing director's role. He is currently chief executive officer of Infochoice, a data and content business.
Time's Australasian operation currently comprises two weekly magazines -- the regional edition of Time magazine and the celebrity title Who Weekly -- and the Australian edition of In Style.
Prior to its merger with Time, IPC Media had an agreement with ACP, Australia's largest magazine publisher, publishing titles such as Bride to Be. Time acquired ACP's 50% stake in that business in March of this year.
Before joining Infochoice, Trumper was a publishing director at ACP and a director of Murdoch Magazines.
Trumper will report to Tim Brooks, the London-based IPC Media board director who is reponsible for the venture.
Brooks said: "Tim is a first-rate operator with experience of successful consumer publishing at the highest level. He is exactly the right person to lead what is an established and successful management team in Sydney, on what we expect to be an exciting and swift path to further growth."
