The relaunch follows the appointment in September of editor Conor McNicholas, the former news editor on Emap's MixMag, the sector's market leader.
The revamp by IPC ignite!, the music and men's interest division of IPC, follows a disappointing set of ABC results across the dance music sector.
Muzik -- the third largest title in the market -- saw its circulation fall 7.3% year on year to 40,550. MixMag dropped 5.5% year on year to 100,277, while Ministry fell 8% to 83,006.
At the time of his appointment McNicholas said: "I intend to make Muzik even more aspirational, influential and respected. It will be the magazine for twentysomething men who are passionate about dance music and going out, and who want a quality read that reflects their lifestyle."
The redesign involves a new Muzik logo, new typography and clearer signposting of sections throughout the title.
It will increase the frequency and length of in-depth dance features, and its already extensive reviews section is being expanded. Its club listings section will be transformed into a tighter preview section, which will include gigs and bars as well as club nights.
The first issue will carry a cover-mounted CD called Groove Armada Mix, and will be supported by a retail marketing and postcard campaign aimed at raising the magazine's profile.
