IPC appoints editorial director for Ideal Home and portal

LONDON - Isobel McKenzie-Price is returning to IPC Media from the US as editorial director of Ideal Home and IPC's soon-to-launch homes portal.

She will join in July and take over from Ideal Home editor Sue Rose, who is leaving the magazine after three years to pursue a career allowing her to spend more time with her family.

McKenzie-Price is currently editor of Time Inc's All You magazine. Earlier in her career she spent six years in several senior editorial roles at IPC and served on the board of Southbank, IPC's women's lifestyle and home interest division.

Jackie Newcombe, managing director of IPC Southbank, said: "Isobel exudes passion for this market, both online and offline, and she will undoubtedly strengthen our position in what is a key market for us."

The homes portal will be launched next month. Earlier this week IPC appointed Julie Stuckes from Future as the portal's digital development director.
