IPC Southbank appoints Stuckes to head digital development

LONDON - IPC Southbank, the homes and women's lifestyle division of IPC, has appointed Julie Stuckes from Future Publishing to the position of digital development director as it prepares to launch a new homes portal.

Stuckes will join the team on May 1 in a newly created role that was brought in ahead of next month's launch of the homes portal. This will be the group's first standalone website, which will build on Southbank's postion in the homes sector.

Stuckes was previously head of new-media operations at Future Publishing, and prior to this spent a period at the University of Bath managing multiple development teams within the research division.

Stuckes said: "I'm thrilled to be joining IPC Southbank as digital development director. It has fantastic brands in the women's fashion and lifestyle and home sectors and I can't wait to help build their success in the digital space."

Jackie Newcombe, managing director at IPC Southbank, said: "Julie will be a fantastic addition to Southbank's management team. She is steeped in digital media and is very experienced in building teams to develop new projects. Most importantly, she understands how to tap into the strengths that we have within our print brands and translate them into digital opportunities."

Next month, IPC Southbank is launching a for its upmarket fashion magazine In Style.

The company publishes websites for some of its other titles including Woman & Home, Practical Parenting, Wallpaper and Marie Claire.
