The collaboration, called Film InStyle, features designers Roberto Cavalli, Christian Louboutin, Mulberry's Emma Hill, Henry Holland, Paul Smith, Zac Posen and Diane von Furstenberg.
The seven covers include an augmented reality feature for Henry Holland's edition. Consumers can purchase the different covers of the December issue by telephone, if they do not subscribe to the magazine.
Each designer has created a short film to convey their interpretation of style, which will be screened at a London premiere, sponsored by Range Rover's new Evoque brand, in a partnership brokered by Mindshare.
Eilidh MacAskill, editor of InStyle, said: "Fashion and film are two of InStyle's greatest loves so we were absolutely thrilled that such incredible designers signed up for Film InStyle, one of our most ambitious projects.
"Fashion films are fast becoming the new music video and we're delighted to be at the forefront and championing creativity."
IPC Media appointed Jhan Rushton as advertising director for InStyle in July.
