
The app, available to download for free from today (9 November), offers access to images of Nuts covergirls, which can be downloaded through an SMS payment system. It was developed by Nuts' publisher IPC Media through agency Always On Message.
The £4.99 one-shot, which hits newsstands on 17 November, is a 100-page celebration of Nuts' favourite covergirls, including 'Hollyoaks' actress Gemma Merna, 'The Only Way is Essex' stars Sam and Billie Faiers and glamour model Lucy Pinder.
James Thrower, publisher of Nuts, said: "The Nuts brand reaches around 1.3 million young men every week across print, online and mobile.
"These exciting new brand extensions tap into our audience's appetite to consume more of our core content in different ways and on different platforms.
"The app builds on the success of our mobile optimised site for those who like to get Nuts on-the-go, whereas the one-shot gives fans a collectable, premium Nuts experience in print."
In August Nuts launched a £500,000 marketing push and unveiled a redesign for the title, which was hit by a 22.5% fall in circulation year on year to 114,019 copies in the latest magazine ABCs.
