Number of people in your team?
There are 13 of us at the agency - 14 if you count our chairman, Tim Wootton, former non-executive chairman of Zenith Media.
Who does what?
Our managing director Chris Thurling and our creative director Jon Waring run the agency, which is divided into three main areas: planning, creative and technical. Thurling, Laura Fletcher and Jo Weston are our planners, Waring and Matt French are the creative guys, and Iwein Dekoninck, Kate Stokes, Pete Fairhurst, Andrew Arnott, Martina Welander, Ian Lovell and Ben Wyatt are the tech guys, running client development work and content management. Last, but not least, Jean Dickinson is our account executive.
Who is the biggest character and why?
We're all pretty big characters - we are all passionate about what we do, in and outside work. Jon and Iwein's passions for triathlons and fitness are pretty extreme, involving running, cycling and swimming every day and eating enough protein for all of us.
What is your office atmosphere like?
We try to avoid pigeonholing people into creatives, planners and techies. This way, we feel as though we are all in it together and ideas flow around the agency. Thanks to our location, many of us love the outdoor life, so it's heads down during the day and then time to play after hours - surfing and mountain biking are popular in the long summer evenings.
What stands you apart from the rest of the industry?
We're a digital agency with 15 years' experience, which is almost a lifetime compared to many of our peers. Our work emphasises simplicity, functionality and the aesthetic.
What does it take to get a job in your team?
Having the right attitude, knowing your subject and sharing that knowledge with colleagues and clients. Awareness of how traditional media works with digital and an understanding of brands are vital.
How are staff encouraged to hit targets?
Our love of football comes to the fore here - our philosophy is about how the agency performs rather than the individual. So, if we all do well, we can all enjoy the fruits of our work.
Where do you all let your hair down?
Our last agency day out was a day of surfing, we have an agency breakfast once a week and we have started curry, wine and Belgian beer tastings - not all on the same night.
