The restructure sees Pope take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organisation from joint managing directors Simon Lawrence and Gary Selby. Selby will focus on sales and Lawrence on business development and relationships at the six-year-old firm.
Pope joins having most recently run his own data consultancy, specialising on data acquisition, product development and delivery strategies for UK and Europe.
Pope previously worked at Acxiom where he held roles including data product director and European data and product strategy leader.
Lawrence said the restructure and appointment of Pope came after significant expansion for Information Arts.
"We are still ambitious and hungry for growth and see no end to the new business opportunities. It is therefore critical that we establish a robust and scaleable infrastructure to sustain this expansion. Having observed Jon's career for a number of years I believe he has exactly the right experience, character and tenacity to keep us on track," Lawrence said.
At Acxiom, Pope had a role in the Claritas and Consodata acquisitions and building a new technology strategy for the company.
Pope added: "I have watched with admiration the accomplishments of Information Arts over the last few years. This new role is a great opportunity for me, as I believe the company will only grow from strength to strength."
