In his new role, Cooke will be responsible for helping Infogroup strengthen its dedicated resources in London, in an effort to help the company boost its client roster.
His appointment follows the announcement of new plans for Infogroup UK's growth, backed by the parent Infogroup company in the US.
Cooke has spent 10 years working in the data and telecoms sector. Most recently, he held the position of senior account manager at Experian QAS, where he oversaw a number of utilities clients, including EDF Energy, Centrica and Thames Water.
Before joining Experian, Cooke had worked at Sirocom, a privately owned communications company that was acquired by Azzurre Communications in 2006.
Cooke said: "Agencies are often dependent on their suppliers to deliver a fast turnaround of information, and vast corporate machines can struggle to deliver a swift enough service, simply because of the red tape that frequently takes over in complex organisations."
He added: "Infogroup/UK has all the hallmarks of a major player in terms of financial stability, resource and expertise, but with the means to show far greater agility when it comes to meeting client needs."
