Zog Media developed the proprietory platform with PitchEngine in order to increase the number of users who find PitchEngine press releases, and other news, on social media sites and organically through search engines.
The platform uses linguistics technology to tap into social media networks.
Jason Kintzler, founder and chief executive of PitchEngine, said: "After working together for more than 18 months, we discovered the strategic advantages and power of merging social media distribution with search engine optimization."
PitchEngine is used to drive digital, social media press releases or "pitches" beyond the standard text in an e-mail attachment.
The pitches, which are built into microsites, can contain embedded video, PowerPoints and images. Users can share these pitches via social media sites Twitter and Facebook.
More than 24,000 brands, including CNN, Coca-Cola, IBM and UPS, have used PitchEngine's services.
Herzog, chief executive of Zog Media and founder of search engine marketing company iCrossing, said: "In today's digital world, the ability to be found on all major search engines can define the success of any business.
"With this new integration technology, users will be able to augment their online reach beyond traditional search marketing strategies."
