HS&P launch CRM product for football clubs

LONDON - HS&P, formerly Hicklin Slade & Partners, is targeting football clubs with a new product aiming to help clubs drive revenue from their databases amid the downturn.

The new product will include advice on CRM and illustrate how it is used in other sectors. It will also seek to help clubs grow and improve their databases and create uplift in non-core areas such as merchandise and financial services.

Industry analysts say many clubs could be put into difficulty by the recession as next year's season tickets come up for renewal.

HSP&P head of loyalty practice Louise Isaacs said: "There's no doubt the credit crunch will impact on club revenues. Our comprehensive experience shows us that there are CRM principles that can be transferred and adapted to the football sector to address this."

The initiative follows the appointment by Golley Slater by Premier League club Bolton Wanderers.  The club handed the agency a brief to create direct, digital and ad campaigns for the club, based on research and workshops with fans and club officials.
