The digital agency is now working on a 12-month global campaign, due to launch in March, which aims to take Olmeca into the digital space via originated film content, website development, event creation and video podcasts.

Holler, which counts Channel 4, Kickers and Royal Bank of Scotland among its clients, will also develop , an online community for top bartenders around the world.

Olmeca's two key products, Standard and Altos, will be promoted along different lines. An online calendar of crowd-sourced events and website that sources ideas from fans will be used to introduce Olmeca Standard, while Olmeca Altos will be promoted via a series of short films.

Nat Lee Joe, strategist at Holler, said: "[Olmeca Tequila has] managed to strike a unique balance between staying true to the authentic production methods of quality tequila, whilst modernising with Olmeca Altos and developing it with the top two bartenders in the world"

Olmeca Tequila claims to be the fourth largest tequila brand in the world and second largest outside the US. It is sold in more than 80 countries.
