Taste of London, which is now running as normal, and underwent a thorough search by police after a suspicious notice was found in one of the site's toilets.
According to Brand Event's managing director Andrew Evans, the note was similar to a message found in a toilet at Queen's Club last week.
"In the interest of public safety, the police searched the site with sniffer dogs with our co-operation. A similar note was left in a Queen's Club toilet last week by someone with the same modus operandi, although I am unsure what action was taken about this offence," he added.
Taste of London said that visitor numbers were still around 5,000 for the event, which was kept open 45 minutes longer than planned yesterday to compensate.
Refunds or new arrangements are being offered to people affected by the delay.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman declined to comment on the incidents, adding: "As a matter of course, we don't comment about hoaxes or false alarms."
